TRANSIA PLATE Prolamins is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for the detection and quantification of prolamins from wheat (gliadin), rye (secalin), and barley (hordein) in food samples.
Based on R5 Antibody Recommended by the Codex Alimentarius
R5 antibody, used in the detection step, was developed by Pr. Enrique Méndez of the WGPAT (Working Group on Prolamin Analysis and Toxicity). This specific antibody has proved to be strongly reactive to a potential coeliac disease-active sequence.
